Registration Number I
JON
My great Aunt Rosemary somehow
managed to arrange, as her 21st birthday present to me, that I would be issued
this much cherished registration number. She knew that I was taking
delivery of an MG sports car and I was so thrilled to discover that it came with this number.
In those days, that was 1961, people did not pay
high premiums for number plates. But I decided, whenever I changed cars, that
I would retain the number.
Since 1970 it has always been on either a Jensen
541S or a CV8.
